Beads beads everywhere...

I am so proud of myself. No really, I am. I managed to succeed in completing... no projects this week. Well not quite 'no projects'. I completed nothing for myself, and challenged myself in no way, shape or form. Which for me, is a pretty lame week.

I was asked to create a couple of bracelets for someone. But other than that, those are my makes for the week. I just couldn't find the get up and go I needed to complete anything. I have so much I want and need to do, yet I pretty much spent all free time in bed, or wishing I was in bed. And to make matters worse, I started looking for a certain bag of beads this morning... only to cover my living room carpet in hundreds of clip bags. Even my hamster, Pokemon, is looking at my beady mess with disdain. Don't you just sometimes wish you never started something?

Better still, I can't stop laughing to myself. I went to a second interview the other week, and during my time in there the interviewer got the impression I was a super organised person. If only he could see me now.

So I thought I would share a quick pic of my customs, and I hope later this week I will have something a little more interesting to share with you. I am currently working on a light-catcher, but that is some fiddly work. Plus I need to finish some designs for a new jewellery 'box'. I can't cope with my baskets of mess any more. But one thing at a time right ;)

Whilst I remember, Monday's aren't all bad. Wendy is once again hosting Handmade Monday over at http://www.1stuniquegifts.co.uk. Loads of interesting reads can be found over there. Go and check out what other crafters have been up to, and show some support!

Right... back to the bead pile *sigh*. Why me?

  1. Lovely jewellery! I feel your pain, I've got craft stuff everywhere, then when I need a particular thing, I can't find it any where. Never seem to find the time to tidy it up, before I have to start looking for it again. lol. Hugs Sue x

  3. Very nice :) I have weeks where I do hardly anything too. Sometimes you just need something to kick start you!

  4. Motivation is such a hard thing to pin down sometimes! I do think it's easier when we have a bit of sun and longer days. Hopefully it'll get better for you.
You made me laugh with your interview - people have this impression of me as a super-organised person and it's all because I *have* to create systems to organise myself that it appears that way. I'm actually quite disorganised and can never find anything so I do love a little bit of organisation sometimes.
Thanks for taking part in Handmade Monday xx

  5. Don't be too hard on yourself! You've made some lovely pieces, which is more than I could do! I think being 'creative' and 'organised' are complete opposites - it's very difficult to be both!! (You should see my house - definitely NOT organised, LOL!)

  6. Gosh, sounds familiar to me too. I am longing for longer, brighter, warmer days, days that get me going. Don't be down on yourself, your jewellery looks great and your Blog is an entertaining read.

  7. Loving the black necklace, keep going on the organising, I find that if you are in a rut, sorting out your stash can get the juices flowing. I always come across some beads that I had forgotten about and it sets me off again

  9. Well, what you've posted is really pretty! I started my blog thinking I would post every day. So far I'm averaging...well...Handmade Monday! :) I'm sure you've got me beat, so there you go, I'm setting the bar really low for you.

  10. I'm the same. Totally organised and tidy at work and the total opposite at home!
    Jewellery looks great.

  11. Susie, you made me giggle! I only post a couple of times a week - only because if I aimed for much more than that it might be considered using my brain. I don't want to be seen as organised AND intelligent.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Nice to know I'm not the only disorganised one out there. The problem I have now is not so much motivation, but after reading all those blogs, I have so many ideas I don't know where to start. From one extreme to the other. Ho-hum.

  12. Oh feeling your pain on sorting out your beads. I'm usually pretty organised but since moving back home all my things are spread into 2 rooms. It doesn't matter how much space you have it's never enough.

Lovely makes as always. See you next week.
