Plushie heaven

This week has been busy with regards to the old 9-5, however my crafting life has been a bit slow. I have to be honest and say I've been a little lazy this week. I have a fair coming up in April, only a tiny local one, so I know I should be stocking up so to speak. As it stands I just couldn't motivate myself this weekend. I did find myself sitting on-line and bought loads of beads and some tiny buckets that I think once filled and finished will make excellent Easter gifts. But overall... mass slowness! I have to be honest and say I'm having a perfection moment. I want everything to be absolutely perfect for this fair even if it is small. I am checking every detail 3 times over. If it doesn't get through the check due to a stray stitch or a misplaced eye, it ain't coming with me. Thus I haven't really been up to much. Must put the microscope down and do better things with my time!

Here are a few of the weeks makes.

Yep... yet more mini monsters
Another Owl, just because they are cute!

And apparently this guy wins first prize!

So as you can see, very slow week for me. However I have promised myself I will create more over the next week. Or at least try to. No point in making promises I can't keep right? ;)

Today sees the start of this weeks Handmade Monday so if you haven't already, get over there and check it out!

Liebster Blog Award

Wow, how happy was I to be awarded this here award by the one and only Jem over at Jam Dalory. Yesterday was a rough day so I was pretty much bouncing round like a kid on peanut butter flavoured M&M's. So a HUGE thanks Jem!

So there are some rules that go with this here award. However they are nice rules. Not the kind that gives you urge to press the big red button saying 'please do not press'.

The rules for this award are:
1. You must link back to the person who gave it to you (Pointing upward - see, see, see!?!)
2. Put the award on your blog (Point upward and to the side - see, see, see!?!)
3. Pass it on to 5 other blogs who inspire you and have less than 200 followers
4. Leave a comment on their blogs to let them know

Okay... so why is it always only 5 other blogs? I always hate that bit. I spent a whole day thinking about it, and I now need a glass of wine to caress my poor tired brain ;)

But here we go...

1. Reloved Remnants - Stef makes up some lovely felt flowers, but best of all she usually has a little tute or two to share. I'm a sucker for anyone that offers a tutorial.

2. Alis Craft Studio - She makes the most amazing window decorations. I have to be honest, I have a couple in my house... then I purchased several others as Christmas gifts. I know I will do the same this year!

3. Amigurumi Barmy - Liz creates patterns for little crocheted critters. First I envy her skill! Second - I want those critters! All of them! Super mass cuteness!

4.Twinkle twinkle, shiny things... - A relatively new find, however I adore the the quirky and fabulous designs for head wear. She entered a lovely boho necklace into this weeks Handmade Monday too. Love it!

5. Knitting Snippets - Okay, so I'm not old enough to really know about the Clangers, however being a total geek I know about the Clanger. Plus that those are super sweet Clangers. And kitties, and budgies... in fact check out the blog and see for yourselves!

Which means I only have to complete one more rule... Go and tell everyone.

Excellent!!!

Handmade Monday 53

This week has not slowed down from the past couple. With my new job I have that whole 'how much more do you expect me to learn?' feel. In all fairness though, I am loving it! The people and the environment are just great! Looks like as far as 9 to 5 jobs go, this one is trumps!

As a result I haven't been able to complete much... but here are a few pics of what has been created!

I am a little annoyed mind you. One of the suppliers I used for keyring chains has gone bust and it's sods law that I can't find anywhere else that will do them as cheap. Which of course means pushing the RRP up. Joy... not.

Today is Handmade Monday, hosted over at 1st Unique Gifts. Check it out and see what other people have been up to!

Facebook Fans: The winners

The one thing that helps a company go from strength to strength isn't so much what you sell, it's the support of the customers. The web has given small companies a chance to continue to trade long after the large corporations have pushed many from the brick and mortar stores.

Thank you to everyone over the last few weeks for showing your support. If it's one thing I've learnt from local trading it's that happy customers come back. Plus the occasional give away, competition and freebie always goes down well right? ;)

So in order to say thank you to our customers we held a little give away - so I guess you guys want to know who won what right? Rather than announce this on Facebook and break plenty of hidden rules and regulations, you have instead found yourselves here, at our Blog. So hi from our blog page :) I would like to remind everyone that took part the winners were picked at random via random.org. Your comments were counted (1 at the top - the first comment, and each numbered down from there) the total placed into the number generator and the random number relates to that comment. Hello lucky winner!

This first prize was this:

The winner of our Chainmaille Bracelet is: Comment number 5, written by Tonya Duprey
Congratulations to Tonya!

The second prize was:

A Fimo Pencil and Sharpener earring set.
This winner is comment number number 9 written by Hazel Christopher
Congratulations Hazel!

Next there was this:

Fimo Cream Cake earrings (hungry yet? I am!)
The winner is the author of comment number 7 - Kelly Mitchell
Congratulations Kelly!

Then finally there was the mystery prize. Since it's nearly Valentines we thought 'hey, why not?' So here it is:

Swarovski Crystal choker and earring set.
The winner of the 'no longer a mystery prize' is comment number 13 (unlucky for some but this person!)
Lulu Marie Osborne!!

YAY!! WELL DONE EVERYONE!!!

If the lucky winners could contact me here: with_u_in_mind@hotmail.co.uk with you shipping details and your prizes will be winging their way over to you.

Congratulations to all our winners. Thank you for everyone who has taken part! Your support is appreciated. Don't feel too down if you didn't win, our customers come first and as a result we will be holding other Give Aways throughout the year. All you need to do is keep an eye and ear open. In the meantime feel free to leave comments and feedback and of course pop by our Folksy store!

*Huge hugs to everyone*

Mental on Mondays

Two Monster I'd Like to Fluff keyrings for a custom order
This last week has been mental from start to finish - and judging by today things aren't gonna get any easier! But that's a good thing. Orders have been turning over - always good this early in the year - and best of all... IT SNOWED!! Gotta love that snow. Snow angels, snowmen, snowball fights... leak in my kitchen ceiling from a burst pipe in the flat upstairs. At least we think it's a pipe issue. There is a gentle drip drip drip coming from down the hall that is slowly driving me mad. Gotta love Mental Mondays :)

However, I refuse to get any more angry than what I did yesterday. I have lots of lovely new blog followers, a whole army of Facebook followers and the year is young. Looking on the bright side, this year is gonna kick ass!!!

So as you can tell... busy week. Here are a few of my makes. I haven't had time to note them all down yet, my weekend was quite productive!

A chainmaille Bracelet in silver and purple coated copper rings

As usual on a Monday I'm gonna head over to 1st Unquie Gifts to join in with Handmade Monday and see the talents of other crafters!

Loving this Mental Monday!
