Working hard to get right

I have been neglecting my blog yet again this past couple of weeks. However, rather than laziness, this time I have had reason. I recently lost a dear member of my family - my cat Moomin. She passed away unexpectedly two weeks ago of a heart attack. As a result we needed to make a quick decision and opted to get a kitten to keep out 4 year of tom, Garfield company. So a lot of change all round. Excuse my indulgence - but this is Moomin and Garfield just chillin' (she's the black and white one btw lol).

And this is the little critter we got a week or so ago. The Tiny Terror known as Hera (yes she is a bitch like Zeus' wife too).

Whilst it has been as sad time I have kept myself busy with work and with crafting! Managed to start getting on top of my Folksy store and stock counting. Making up a few new plushie designs which I am looking forward to starting. So with change there comes determination! Oh and I got myself hooked on Twitter. So between Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest all I need is Google+ and YouTube and I'll have this busy covered on all social media forums :D

So here are a few of my recent make and creations (some of which are in my Folksy store LOL).

A glaring of Monsters

Don't forget it's Handmade Monday over at 1st Unique Gifts. If you haven't checked it out yet, you really need to!

  1. Aw, sorry to hear about your cat. Hope your new kitten will bring you lots of happy (or should that be troublesome!) times. She sounds like a bit of a handful!

  2. Aw, poor Moomin (and poor you). So sorry, but I hope the new kitten will make you smile a lot.

Cute little owls - lovely - and the monsters look fab all together like that!

  3. Your new kitten looks lovely... I suspect you will be kept rather busy in the coming weeks, saving your crafts from four pawed inspection!

  4. Sorry to read about Moomin. Non-pet people don't always understand that it's like losing one of the family, especially when they've been with you a long time. Glad you've got a new baby, though good company for you and Garfield. Thanks for popping over and joining my happy band of followers. Chris

  5. I love your little monsters. So sorry about Moomin but Hera looks as if she will keep you busy.

  6. Awww what a lovely photo of your cats. My daughter has a ginger puss who looks just like yours.
I like your makes especially the little owl, he pulls the heart strings he's soooo cute.

  7. Oh so sorry to hear about Moomin, she looks adorable. I think Hera will get you smiling again, she is so cute.
You seem to have kept yourself busy, so many wonderful makes.
    Big hugs Sue x

  8. So sorry to hear your sad news. I love all your little makes, I think the plushies and the monsters are my favourites with their google eyes :-)

  9. Sorry to hear about Moomin :( We lost our cat, Molly, just before Christmas and it took a bit of getting used to without her. Your new little kitten looks like she is going to be a real scamp! I hope she gets on well with Garfield. I love all the little characters you have made, I think my favourite is the fluffy owl, he's so cute!

  10. Sorry to hear about your cat. Very sad when a pet dies.
Your "Tiny terror" looks a right handful!

  11. I am so sorry to hear about Moomin, these animals have such a large place in our hearts and homes. Hera is so sweet and looks as if she is settling in well.

Crafting can help heal so many problems, love the fluffy owl

  12. So sorry to hear about Moomin - it is so hard when this happens. Little Hera looks cute! Loving the pics of your makes this week - it is good to have something to absorb yourself in at times like this. Mich x

  13. Sorry about Moomin, it's not easy to deal with the loss of a much loved pet but it looks like you have now got your hands full again.
I don't tweet but I hear it can become addictive!! I'm loving your felt monsters, they are so neat.

    Take care

    Jan x
